The newest Olympic sport Cheerleading will be presented for the first time in Bulgaria!

The host of the competition will be Plovdiv and the Кolodrum Hall. The competition will be on Saturday, September 24, at 10 a.m., and more than 700 participants are expected to participate.

The cheerleading tournament will be officially opened at 1 pm by the Minister of Youth and Sports Vesela Lecheva and Deputy Mayor Georgi Tityukov.

The organizer of the competition is the Bulgarian Cheerleading Union (BCU) - cheerleading sports, which won the hosting for the European Championship and next year Plovdiv will host more than 1500 athletes from all over Europe.

Cheerleading is the newest 2028 Olympic sport to take part in the Los Angeles Olympics.

More than 30 teams in various disciplines will participate in the competition.
