SECOND EDITION OF CEFF – COMEDY EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL STARTS FROM SEPTEMBER 30 AT LUCKY HOUSE OF THE CINEMA

The unique CEFF festival pays a well-deserved tribute to European comedy and, in its SECOND edition, invites you to exclusively see 12 new titles from eight countries. The festival will take place from 30.09 to 07.10 at LUCKY house of the cinema in Plovdiv.

The competition program includes six titles from this year, and the grand prize will be determined by a three-member international jury. To give the audience their due, the festival will give viewers the opportunity to vote for their favorite film.

The cult Lyubo Neikov will be part of the jury of the Comedy European Film Festival - KEFF. The unique event will be held for the second year in a row in Plovdiv at the LUCKY House of Cinema. The other members of the jury that will choose the best comedy title are Julek Kadzierski - a key figure for young producers in Europe and associated with the comedy genre for more than 30 years, as well as Vanya Nikolova - screenwriter of some of the most successful Bulgarian series and shows in recent years, as well as the hit "The naked truth about the Zhiguli group".

Part of the program will be interesting European titles coming to Bulgaria for the first time. In the Italian "With all my heart" we will meet and find out if the transplanted heart of a mob killer will affect the life of the clumsy professor he saved.
"Not my type (of taste and color)" meets us with a sophisticated French singer who records a dream album with her favorite musician Darejan. When the rock icon dies, the young singer must negotiate copyright with Darejan's heir, a market vendor who has other views on art.
The Italian-French "Natural left-hander" immerses us in the world of football - a mother is ready to sacrifice her own dignity for the future of her son and his left foot. The program also includes "The Liar" from France, in which Jerome, a compulsive liar is overtaken by a curse - all his lies begin to come true.

The festival starts with Riccardo Milani's Italian comedy Running to You, starring Pierfrancesco Favino and Miriam Leone. Some highlights of the programme are the Spanish "Sentimental", based on the play of the same name by Cesc Guy, winner of two Best Film and Best Actress awards for Griselda Siciliani at the Monte Carlo Film Festival; and the Catalan Gaudi Film Award for Supporting Actor for Alberto San Juan. Panos Coutras' co-production Dodo was part of the official selection at Cannes this year.
