With the opening of the exhibition "Artists Paint a Dove", the Municipal Institute of Ancient Plovdiv celebrates the World Day of Peace - 21 September. Kristina Kutlova, Magdalena Koleva, Maria Ivanova, Milena Milanova-Paunova, Nadezhda Antova, Peter Velinov, Petya Anastasova, Ralitsa Delova, Stoyan Stoyanov - Komitsky and Gragat Hayrapetyan - Grant are presenting their thematic works.
Come and see the works, executed with different techniques such as painting, sculpture, mosaic, scrap art, photography, there are also paintings from the collection of the Old Plovdiv Museum!
Since 1982, or 40 years ago for the first time, 21 September has been celebrated as the World Day of Peace (celebrated on the day of the German attack on Poland, which marked the beginning of the Second World War). In 2001, the UN passed a special resolution and established the date with a clear message of non-violence and an end to hostilities in all parts of the world.
The opening of the "Artists Paint a Dove" exhibition is on September 21 at 6:00 pm in The Small Basilica. The paintings can be seen until October 3, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
The admission is free on the opening day.
