On September 26, 2022 at 12.00 in the "Art Gallery" lobby of the "Ivan Vazov" National Library - Plovdiv, floor 2, the exhibition and the bilingual album - the result of the implementation of the project "Art and Public Space: Projects for monumental-decorative painting by Plovdiv artists from the collection of the Plovdiv National Library". In 2020, "Ivan Vazov" National Library - Plovdiv  won a project with this theme and title in the "Heritage" program of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019. In addition to an exhibition and an album, the project also includes a website with city routes of the realizations.
The collection of the "Ivan Vazov" National Library - Plovdiv includes 84 projects for monumental decoration. The main authors are Ioan Leviev, Anastasia Kmetova, Dimitar Kirov and Encho Pironkov, and Ana Grebenarova, Kolyu Vitkovski, Sabi Sabev, Georgi Boyadzhiev - Slona appear as co-authors. The objects of creativity are scattered all over Bulgaria. The geography of the purpose of the works is significant and speaks convincingly of the influence of the Plovdiv group of monumentalists in Bulgarian artistic life.
On the territory of the library is one of the iconic examples of monumental and decorative art in our city. Driven by the idea of ​​preserving for generations this extraordinary monumental work, the library initiated a restoration before time took a serious toll and damage on it. In 2020, the emblematic mural panel based on motifs from Vase works /"Grandfathers" - artist Georgi Bozhilov-Slona, ​​"Under the Yoke" and "Servants" - author Ioan Leviev, "Epic of the Forgotten" - artist Hristo Stefanov/.
