"Street ballads" in Plovdiv
Encho Pironkov's Paintings Permanent Exhibition
How do music and poetry meet? Where and what does this encounter leave behind? This answer will be answered by the "Street Ballads" project of the Swiss company SOUNDSCAPE.LIVE in cooperation with Bulgarian performers.
Ten Bulgarian writers, including Georgi Gospodinov, Zdravka Evtimova, Kristin Dimitrova, Angel Igov and others, have prepared their texts especially for "Street Ballads". They will be combined with musical performances in a complete spectacle in which the audience is invited to join in at any time.
"Street Ballads" has the ambition to gather voices from all over Europe in one place to give their perspective on the present. After the extremely successful first stage in Switzerland.
Bulgaria is the second country where the project takes place, this time with the participation of our artists and performers. Next year, the result of their joint work is expected to be shown at festivals in various European countries.
