17:30: "An introduction to lighting for storytelling" - interactive workshop in English for newbies. Thomas Gonsard.
19:00: "Umbilical Cord" premiere for Plovdiv, documentary, Bulgaria 81', director Boris Pophristov
20:30: Discussion panel (Q&A session) with the team that created "Umbilical Cord" and representatives of the protagonists.

Price for each module - BGN 10 regular and BGN 5 for students (includes the whole module - workshop, screening and discussion)*. Places are limited. Tickets available at the Lucky House of Cinema box office.

Kapana Film Fest is a boutique film festival that supports independent Bulgarian cinema. Our selection features original works characterized by freedom of expression, unaffected by self-serving commercialism, uncorrupted by either the dogmas of the industry or the over-narcissistic currents of today. Fiction, documentary, feature-length or short, stylistically diverse as long as they have depth, thought and meaning, have the potential to provoke positive change, lift the spirit, even leave more questions than answers to stimulate you to discover them for yourself.
Kapana Film Fest supports not only the creators of authentic and genuine cinema, but also those of you who dream of following in their footsteps. With the advancement of technology, practically everyone has a camera in their pocket, and achieving a cinema quality picture has become much more affordable. But that's far from enough, and making a film remains a well-guarded privilege for the few. And we believe that this privilege should be available to anyone with the courage of their dreams, the determination to take the first step and the will to continue despite the challenges. Therefore, a mandatory part of every screening of the festival is a discussion panel with the filmmakers and an interactive workshop (workshop) with a practical focus and suitable for beginners in the art of cinema.Kapana Film Fest is realized by UBC Sound & Cinema Studio in partnership with Kapana Fest and with the assistance of Lucky House of Cinema, Reovox Rental, Kult Studio, Grange Media.
