CONTEXT AiR invites you to the world premiere of "Chaconne in "K" Existence" - a new choreographic project by Rima Pipoyan (Armenia).
The dance performance was created in Plovdiv, during the choreographer's one-month residency, with the participation of 4 internationally selected performers and based on Rima Pipoyan's in situ observations and direct contact with Plovdiv.
The program of the evening also includes the presentation of one of her distinctive solo performances,
with her choreography and performed by her.

WOMAN BEFORE DECISION MAKING

Sometimes it is really difficult to make a decision, and it is even more difficult and frequently impossible when it does a woman. It seems that decision-making can last for ages. Some women are really concise in the process of decision-making but this does not change the mess in their heads. The mess can last only few seconds but in these seconds women's thoughts can do incredible things-fly from the past to the future, fly to the Moon or to the other side of the Earth at the same time, they can think about daily problems and eternal issues, they can love and hate, smile and cry, be calm and go crazy simultaneously and at the end it seemed as if nothing happened. It's exactly the same with this heroine but...

The performance is featuring internationally selected professional dancers from around the world by the Armenian choreographer and director Rima Pipoyan. The music was written from scratch especially for this project by the Armenian composer Sergey Umroyan. The goal of this project is to create a new creation with dancers of different backgrounds and nationalities by bringing them all to Plovdiv and working together for a month. “The city of Plovdiv with its immense cultural and historical heritage will help us to create, will connect us and lead to the final point…”
