"The Lady with the Camellias" is a story about that moment when happiness touches you briefly and then disappears. About missed opportunities. About impossible choices. About disagreement with the other. Dumas, Jr. wrote his novel after losing his great love, and through his text he revives her again and again, righting the wrongs of the past.
The performance we are creating with the troupe of the Stoyan Bachvarov Drama Theatre is an attempt to dissect the past, assembling pieces of a vanished life in order to answer the question of why we fail the opportunity for happiness offered to us and look for a way back only when it is too late.
