EXHIBITION "COLLECTION WITH CONTINUATION" 
Temporary Exhibition Halls

40 paintings by 33 artists will be presented at the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv ( 15, Knyaz Alexander I Street) under the motto "Collection with a continuation".
Why "Collection with continuation"? Because for 23 years Darik has been creating a community of talented artistic personalities and because it is important for the radio to continue to support, appreciate and motivate contemporary Bulgarian artists.
From November 30 to December 20, Plovdiv residents and guests will be able to see the works of artists from different generations who have participated in the "Sound and Color" plein air workshops, which Darik has organized since 1999. Among them are the works of Kolyo Karamfilov, Itsko Maznev, Atanas Hranov, Monika Romenska, Stanimir Videv, Dimitar Genchev, Emil Atanasov, Ivan Shishkov, Laura Parmakova - significant names in contemporary fine arts whose life and creative fate is connected with Plovdiv.
Darik's collection contains over 600 works bearing the marks of time, life, nature, emotions and inspiration of more than 180 contemporary artists.
"This collection is not only Darik's - said the founder of the first private national radio in Bulgaria Radosvet Radev - it is Bulgaria's collection, a memory of the spirit..."
Works from the collection have been presented in many cities of the country, as well as in galleries in Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, London, Paris, Berlin, Budapest. This exhibition is supported by the National Culture Fund. The curator is Albena Spasova, consultant of the plein air paintings and the collection.
The opening is at 18:00 on 30 November in the Temporary Exhibition Halls of the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv (15 Knyaz Alexander I Street).
