25th anniversary of Stranica magazine - 02 December 2022, 6 pm, Hall 1 of Radio Plovdiv.
This year Stranica magazine celebrates its 25th anniversary. The national literary publication has been published since 1997 in Plovdiv. It has been published in Plovdiv since 1997 with a frequency of four issues a year. Initially, the publication of the magazine was the responsibility of the municipal company Stranica Ltd., which is engaged in book trade and book distribution (it is the winner of the "Hr. G. Danov" award for book trade). Since 2007, the magazine is published by the Literaturna maja Association.
Over the years, the editorial board of the publication has included Alexander Sekulov, Ani Ilkov, Boris Minkov, Valeri Nachev, Galina Lardeva, Georgi Lozanov, Gergina Krasteva, Dimitar Kelbchev, Cleo Protohristova, Lyudmil Stanev, Mladen Vlashki, Nedyalko Slavov, Svetlozar Igov.
In the nearly one hundred issues of the magazine Stranica published so far are included literary, essayistic, literary-critical and memoir texts of practically all writers in Bulgaria, as well as translations of some of the most significant foreign authors, numerous conversations with writers. A special focus in each issue are the literary-critical reviews (in the section "Pages of ..."), as well as the annual reviews of literary production. No other Bulgarian publication can boast such a dense, academic and professionally thorough critique, extending over as many literary titles and phenomena as possible.
Special issues present valuable anthologies and contemporary interpretations of interesting and partly rarely discussed topics: dadaism, expressionism, black humour, the parodic, the erotic, graphomania, (creative) provincialism, etc.
Guests of the festive evening of Stranica magazine in Hall 1 of Radio Plovdiv (on December 2 at 6 pm) will be Alexander Sekulov, Alexander Chobanov, Georgi Lozanov, Emil Andreev, Ivan Stankov, Ina Ivanova, Yordan Velchev, Krasimir Dimovsky, Hristo Karastoyanov.
