On December 2, 2022, Friday, at 5:30 p.m. on Atanas Krastev Square (Lapidarium), for the tenth consecutive year, the lights of the Christmas tree will be lit, marking the beginning of the traditional events and concerts in Old Plovdiv dedicated to the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

Thus, the Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute gathers its friends, partners, residents and guests of the city to share the holiday "Light and Hope in the Old Town", symbolizing faith, kindness, hope and tolerance.

This year, every visitor to the architectural reserve will be able to see a documentary exhibition presenting the temples of Plovdiv, an exhibition by the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Art Academy Asen Diamandiev, an exhibition of glass Czech toys, the concerts of the formation "Dolls", the house of musical magic "Divizi", the choirs "Gaudeamos" and "Evmolpeya", the documentary about the legendary tennis player Tsvety Pironkova, to take part in the making of Christmas toys, as well as to take pictures on the specially prepared festive Christmas benches and corners.
