Every year on the eve of the most holy holidays - Christmas, the Society of Plovdiv Artists presents its biggest exhibition, which in a way sends off the old year, takes stock of what has been achieved in the current year and celebrates the success of its outstanding members who have demonstrated a bright presence in the cultural life of the Society during the year.

This year, exactly on the feast of St. Nicholas Day - December 6, at 18:00 in the 2019 Exhibition Hall of the City Art Gallery, the Society of Plovdiv Artists will present its traditional Annual Exhibition to friends, colleagues and art lovers. The President of the Society Snezhana Furnadjieva invites Plovdiv citizens to experience together with the artists "a magical evening, in which we will fill again the creative space on the street. "Gladstone 32 with colours, shapes and messages - a bright end to the passing 2022 and in which we will wish each other to be healthy and inspired for more new successes and creativity that will touch people's hearts and souls."

The Annual Awards will be presented and are determined by a 5-member jury in the categories of Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, N Forms, and Young Artist. The Mayor's Award, a tradition that has emerged over the past 7 years, will also be presented.

The annual exhibition of the Plovdiv Artists Association is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the 2022 Cultural Calendar.  It will run until 31 December and admission is free.

The Society of Plovdiv Artists, founded in 1990, is a non-profit association. One of its main tasks is to promote the work of its members. The Society is the successor of the Group of Plovdiv Artists - SBH and currently unites over 400 artists on a regional basis.

Members of the Society work in the field of various visual arts: painting, graphics, sculpture, applied arts, alternative forms, curatorial projects. The Society of Plovdiv Artists is the largest creative association in Plovdiv and the largest non-state creative association of artists.

The Society carries out a number of events, the main place being occupied by exhibitions: general, group, visiting and solo. The Society makes contacts with similar structures in the country as well as with those outside the country.
