On January 10, 2023, this year's winner of the Sword of Rhomphaia will be announced.

This will be the 29th time the award has been presented.

Romfeia Gallery of Fine Arts invites Plovdiv residents and fans of fine arts to the traditional awarding of the gallery's annual prize - "The Sword of  Rhomphaia", which will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 15.00 in the gallery.

The sword of the proud Thracian tribe Besi, the only one on the Balkan Peninsula unconquered by the Romans, is one and a half meters long, straight, single-edged and double-edged, and the spear was made by the sculptor Andrei Moskov. This year, the Sword of  Rhomphaia will be awarded for the twenty-ninth time. It honors the best performing artist with an exhibition during the year at the gallery.
