"FROM THE STUDIO" - painting exhibition by Kolyo Mishev

City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv opens its exhibition schedule for 2023 with the solo exhibition of the artist Kolyo Mishev - a Plovdiv resident from Strumica. Despite the artist's renown and his numerous participations in collective exhibitions, including in the gallery's halls, it turns out that this will be the first time that he will present a solo show there.
After a certain hiatus, prolonged by the Kovid epidemic, Kolyo Mishev will finally meet art lovers, presenting nearly 40 of his works, created in the privacy of his studio during the last "sick years" (in his expression).
A kind of retreat into himself can be felt in the artist's works - in his figurative compositions and conventional landscapes, executed in mixed media with a distinct texture.
The opening of the exhibition "From the Studio" will take place on 24 January at 18:00 in the Temporary Exhibition Halls at 15, Kreuz Alexander I. It will be on display until February 24.
