The Regional Natural History Museum - Plovdiv is pleased to invite you for the first time to a workshop on scientific illustration with the paleontologist and paleoartist Vladimir Nikolov.

The new fossil discoveries that countless palaeontologists are continually unearthing around the world and their exploration through new technologies and methods of analysis are continually expanding our knowledge of the prehistoric world and the animals that inhabited it.

A single fossil is enough to obliterate decades-old ideas about the appearance of dinosaurs.

In the upcoming paleoillustration workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn about this impressive predator and reconstruct its appearance as modern science describes it. Then you'll never look at birds the same way again.

Over the past 20 years, the velociraptor has shed its appearance as a nimble and sinister scaly reptile and assumed the role of an equally deadly bird-like predator.
What accounts for this change?
The answer to this and many other dinosaur questions you will find on the weekend of 18-19.02.2023 during the scientific illustration workshop with Vladimir Nikolov - "Let's draw a velociraptor".

The event will start with a presentation (about 30min) about the life and specifics of this carnivorous dinosaur, after which each participant will receive a specially made paleoillustrator's manual and everything needed as materials for drawing.
