OPERA OPEN 2023: Concert of Diane Reeves at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv

Jazz queen Dianne Reeves is a special guest of the 10th anniversary edition of the OPERA OPEN 2023 festival at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv. She will perform a concert with a jazz quintet from the USA and the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra conducted by Konstantin Dobroykov on 18 July at 9 pm. 
Five-time Grammy winner Diane Reeves is one of the most famous jazz vocalists in the world. As a result of her breathtaking virtuosity, improvisational ability and unique jazz and R&B style, Reeves has received Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings. 
Opera Plovdiv's invitation to the legendary singer to participate in the Jazz Symphonies series is no accident. Reeves has recorded with conductor Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was recently a featured soloist on a recording with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has performed with a number of symphony orchestras in America as well as numerous times with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
Diane Reeves' guest appearance is in partnership with Plovdiv Jazz Fest . The Jazz Symphonies format with the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra has also featured such names as Liz Wright and Stacy Kent.

The festival is part of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture's Heritage 2023 programme.
