HERO - exhibition by Sevdalina Kochevska and Petar Kochevski

Sevdalina Kochevska and Petar Kochevski arrange a new exhibition at the City Art Gallery two years after their large-scale joint show "Without Heroes" in the 2019 Hall. Now the scale is not so large, but "The Hero" appears. Visual artist Emil Mirazchiev has been invited to participate.
The opening will take place on 2 March at 18:00 in the Temporary Exhibition Halls.
The artistic strategies of Peter and Sevdalina Kochevsky are quite different. Sevdalina expresses herself through installation, object, video art.
She is a systematic participant in contemporary art actions and exhibitions. She loves provocations. It is not rare that her works cause a public scandal, such as her installation of galvanized buckets with a mirrored bottom, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the avant-gardist Josef Beuys (Week of Contemporary Art, Plovdiv 2021). And the anti-war installation of 400 "silver" sacks "The Wall" was removed directly, from the ancient wall of the Roman Stadium (Week of Contemporary Art, Plovdiv 2022).
Peter Kochevski used canvas, brush and paints. But here too the provocation is present. His paintings are saturated with tension because of the expressive images and compositions.
Two years ago, both artists stressed that there are no heroes.
Who is the protagonist in their new exhibition is yet to be discovered.
The time for that is from March 2 to 22, 2023.
