Wine and Gourmet Festival 2023
12 - 14 May, Plovdiv Old Town

Dear wine lovers, we are happy to share with you the dates of the ninth edition of Wine and Gourmet 2023. Due to the great interest in the festival, this year for the first time the festival will be held in three days - 12, 13 and 14 /Friday, Saturday and Sunday/ May 2023 in the picturesque Old Town of Plovdiv.

The opening of the festival is on 12 April (Friday). At 12:30, a procession with the participation of the ensemble "Thrakia" and the choir "Evmolpeya" will set off from the Stefan Stambolov square. /Municipality of Plovdiv/. At 13 o'clock at the beginning of the Old Town with music and dancing we will start the wine tasting during the three days:
Friday 12 May - 13:00 to 19:00;
Saturday 13 May - 11:00 to 19:00;
Sunday 14 May - 11:00 to 18:00.

WINE TASTING IS DONE WITH TOKENS
Tasting kits will be available at the event outside each festival location.
You can purchase a tasting kit in advance from our partners Grabo - from 1 April to 1 May 2023.

PROGRAMME OF THE FESTIVAL 

12 May (Friday)
12:30 - Parade with the participation of the folklore ensemble Thrakia and the girls' choir "Evmolpeya" - from Stefan Stambolov square. 
13:00 - Official opening of the ninth edition of the Wine and Gourmet Festival - the beginning of the Old Town, Saborna str.
13:30 - Start of the tasting parade in the Old Town.
16:00 - Presentation and presentation of the WINETRIPS.BG project - BULGARIAN WINE AND CULTURE IN ONE ELECTRONIC PLATFORM - Ivan Chernozemski House.
19:00 - End of the tastings in the Old Town of Plovdiv.

13 May (Saturday)
11:00 - Saturday start of the tasting parade in the Old Town.
11:30 - Fun experiments with wine /The workshop for children 9-12 years/ - Elysium Foundation Plovdiv, 2 Dusho Hadjidekov str.
13:00 - Presentation "Meet us - The organizing team of the Wine and Gourmet Parade". Discussion on wine and event tourism with tourism experts from different universities and institutions from the country. The event is held in cooperation with the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences - Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski"- Ivan Chernozemski House
17:00 - Classic Wine and Gourmet Matinee over a glass of wine with duet Julia Puliyeva and Lev Aleev - Ivan Chernozemski House 
19:00 - End of the tastings in the Old Town.

14 May (Sunday)
11:00 - Sunday start of the tasting parade in the Old Town.
13:00 - What is topinambur? Presentation with Tony Stoev "Discover the unique properties of the products of the Jerusalem artichoke" - Ivan Chernozemski House 
14:00 - "Wine Quiz" team game over a glass of wine. Come with friends and play with us. Prizes await you - Elysium Foundation Plovdiv, ul. "Dusho Hadjidekov" № 2.
16:00 - Don't be angry (wine) man - team game with wine glasses and prizes for the luckiest team - Lapidarium, pl. "Atanas Krastev."
18:00 - End of the tastings in the Old Town.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited for persons under 18 years of age.

Young Wine Parade 2022 is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The organizers of the festival are the Plovdiv Tourism Council and the Municipality of Plovdiv with the active cooperation of the Plovdiv Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute, Plovdiv University of Food Technologies.

The event is funded by the annual tourism development program of Plovdiv Municipality for 2023.
