International Children's Ballet Festival "With Love for Dance" 2023

On June 1, 2023, at 19:30 on the stage of the Boris Hristov House of Culture will be opened the XII International Children's Ballet Festival "With Love for Dance". Within 4 days - from 1 to 4 June, participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Serbia and Italy will share their love for ballet art.  

Programme by day:  

1 June, 19:30 - Opening ceremony. Performance of Ballet Studio "Buratino" - "Keep the dream"

2 June 19.00 - Collective performances.

3 June 19.00 - Individual, duet performances.

4 June 19:00 - Festival closing ceremony. Concert of the awarded participants.

The International Children's Ballet Festival "With Love for Dance" was established in 1999 in Plovdiv. Its first edition was held from 1 to 4 June on the stage of the Stefan Kiradjiev Dance School (now Boris Hristov Dance School). In 1999, Plovdiv hosted the European Month of Culture, when the city was an accompanying capital of European culture. The Plovdiv Children's Ballet Festival is a unique event in the history of children's ballet art by its status and regulations. Plovdiv has created a remarkable creative atmosphere and impeccable organization. The initiator, organizer and host is Ballet Studio "Buratino".

Its aim is to stimulate authors - choreographers and child performers to create new works with the help of the great force of beauty called ballet. To enrich and diversify the repertoire of the groups, as well as to expand their concert life at home and abroad.

The festival is open to ballet collectives, regardless of the organization to which they belong. The age limit is 18 years. The festival is held in two parts. First part - collective participation with individual dances and staging up to 15 minutes, Second part - for performers (individual performances and duets) up to 10 minutes. Both parts - based on classical dance. The festival is held throughout the year.
