With an animation on stilts and a concert on March 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Stefan Stambolov Square, Plovdiv will celebrate World Water Day. 

This year's theme is "Accelerating Change", and nearly 400 children from kindergartens, schools and eco-clubs in the city will participate in the celebration dedicated to it. The Drum Ensemble of the Armenian Youth Scout Organization and the Thrace Ensemble will also take part in the program. On a special stage in front of the municipality, they will perform songs, poems and dance performances. An animated performance on stilts will be staged by the FIRETER Theater of Fire and Shadows.

Employees from the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" will also take part in the program, who will make demonstrations on a specialized fire engine. Together with them, the children will play the role of firefighters and will receive valuable advice on how to protect nature and their homes from fires.

During the event, mock-ups, presentations and drawings by the children of the schools related to the motto "Be the change you want to see in the world" will be exhibited. A jury will also award the most interesting projects.

The kind sponsors of the campaign from Mikhalkovo, "Elena" candy factory, "Pijo and Penda" children's cosmetics and 101 balloons will take care of the good mood of the holiday.

Especially for World Water Day, Municipal Enterprise "Gardens and Parks" will launch the pelican fountain in the square.
