On 30 March at 17.00 in the Boris Hristov House of Culture, will be held the official presentation of a monograph - album and website of the band RuB. The project is implemented by the Art Today Association and is part of the Heritage Programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture.

Formed in Plovdiv at the beginning of the turbulent 1989, the band RAB left a deep mark in history as one of the strongest manifestations of Bulgarian conceptual art of the 1990s. Members of the group are the Plovdiv artists Albena Mihailova, Rumen Zhekov, Dimitar Kelbechev, Dimitar Mitovski, Emil Mirazchiev, Ivaylo Grigorov, Igor Budnikov, Kolyo Karamfilov, Nadia Genova, Pavel Albert, Monika Romenska and Veneta Marinova.

The exhibitions, actions and performances of the RuB band brought together the whole art community and turned Plovdiv into a kind of capital of conceptual and political art. 

"With this monograph-catalogue and website, we show the contribution to the public space, making sense of and appreciating the group's presence in the political, social and cultural history of the city and the country. The publication brings together a wealth of existing archival, documentary and visual material as well as research text. The aim of the project is to present the history of the city and of contemporary art to the public through a wealth of archival, visual and textual material. The result of serious research work, the monograph publishes archival texts by art historians and theorists who have played a leading role in making sense of and interpreting the group's activities, such as Zhivka Valiavicharska, the group's principal researcher, Dimitar Grozdanov, and Diana Popova," said Emil Mirazchiev of the Art Today Association and a member of the group.

Guests at the official presentation will be the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Archaeology and Tourism Plamen Panov, Executive Director of the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation Kiril Velchev, many artists, media, friends and supporters.
