For the fifth consecutive year, the PROGRESSIVE music platform presents young musicians who have dedicated their talent and heart to the art of music!

On June 10 at 6 pm on the stage of the remarkable Bishop's Basilica, the audience will have the privilege to listen to outstanding soloists, youth ensembles and orchestra!

Among the participants are the Sofia Youth Chamber Orchestra at the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School with conductor Slavil Dimitrov, the Presto Percussion Ensemble at the Dobrin Petkov National Music Institute with artistic director Pencho Penchev, laureates of prestigious national and international competitions Diana Chausheva (violin) - winner of the First Prize at the Concertino Prague International Competition (Czech Republic), Kai Orlinov (violin) - Grand Prize winner of the International Competition for Young Performers in Ohrid, Viktor Teodosiev (French horn) - First Prize winner of the Tokyo International Music Competition (Japan), London Classical Music Competition (Great Britain) Eurochestries Competition (France), Boryana Zheleva (violin) - laureate of the International Competition for Violinists "Prof. Nedyalka Simeonova, Alexander Vichev (percussion) - winner of the First Prize at the National Competition "Music of Europe", First Prize in the category of chamber ensembles at the International Competition in Smederevo, Agleya Kaneva (percussion) - winner of the First Prize in the category of chamber ensembles at the International Competition in Smederevo, First Prize at the VIII Competition for Percussion Instruments "Pendim" - Plovdiv, etc. 

In the gala concert of Youth Symphony Orchestra also participate the famous soloists Zornitsa Illarionova - violin, Irina Stoyanova - concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio, the distinguished violinist of the ensemble "Sofia Soloists" Evgeni Nikolov, who play together with the very young musicians with remarkable talent.

The programme includes a rich palette of music by Vivaldi, Mozart, Prokofiev, Khachaturian, Piazzolla, Vasil Kazanjiyev, Dinika - Vladigerov and others.

The project is part of the Heritage of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 programme and is supported by the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation and the Musicartisimo Foundation.

The concert is free admission, the public will be admitted to the Bishop's Basilica until the seating capacity is filled.
