The three cultural institutions "Contemporary-1986", "P.R. Slaveikov - 1908" and "Trakia-Plovdiv-2008" will welcome the sea in the town under the hills in May and June, and will again make the celebration of the European Day of the Sea a kind of holiday for young and old.

"We honour the sea" is the project with which the People's Community Centre "Contemporary-1986" will take part in the celebrations. The event will take place on 31 May in the Creativity Zone of the community centre - in front of the library in Trakia, block 140. A concert dedicated to the sea will be performed by children from the schools of singing, piano and guitar, and the talents of the Children's Art Club "Contrasts" will exhibit their thematic works.

The project of the People's Community Centre "Trakia - Plovdiv - 2008" is entitled "Memories from the sea" and will take place on 7 June in the courtyard of the community centre. The initiative includes a concert of children from the piano school and a literary reading of poems and essays dedicated to the sea.

The project "Voices of the sea" of the People's Community Centre "P.R. Slaveykov" will present a concert of talents from the piano and guitar school.  The music they will perform will be dedicated to the sea and its population. The participants will present a short story or poem related to the seas and oceans. The event aims to make the children , and the adults who will attend, think more about the conservation of the seas and their inhabitants. It will take place in the library of the community centre on 14 June 2023.
