Miroslava Katsarova Trio: BLUETRONIC

This year, Miroslava Katsarova is realizing a new concert program BLUETRONIC, which takes a look at electronica and jazz, based on an idea by her longtime stage partner Mladen Dimitrov, aka DJ Mr. Moon.

The title BLUETRONIC suggests that we can expect arrangements with the active electronic sound of songs by and of Miroslava Katsarova. "Ironic", "I'm Learning to Be with You", "Miracles", "Road to the Endless Summer", "Perfumes", "Summer Streets", "Barefoot New for Her" will be among the songs the concert will feature. But we'll also hear cover versions of Leonard Cohen's Dance Me to the End of Love and Massive Attack's Teardrop. The creation of re-arranged songs with a lot of electronics and new beats was mainly the idea of Mladen Dimitrov and was realized in the company of Miroslav Turiski.
"You will also hear some of our favourite songs, which Miro and Mladen have here and there "detoured" with daring re-harmonisations.
The track is blue because of the Blu tones that the harmony implies after all, and because of my love for the drawn-out vocal phrasing marked by my innate sadness. But the songs and arrangements are very bright and cheerful, created in the process of rehearsals.
Mladen Dimitrov, whose alter ego is DJ Mr. Moon, has taken care to arrange atmospheric electronically generated sounds to complement the hypnotic rhythms he will play himself acoustically," says Miroslava Katsarova.
