On 18 May 2023 (Thursday) we celebrate another edition of the International Museum Day. The event is organised by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Over 30,000 museums in more than 120 countries around the world are participating in the initiative. From 18:00 on this date, the Museum Centre for Contemporary History will present the exhibition "Tobacco, Enfier & Sie" of the Historical Museum - Gorna Oryahovitsa, which will remain arranged in the hall on ul. "The exhibition will be on display in the hall of the museum at 14 Angel Bukoreschliev Street for the next few weeks.
The exhibition "Tobacco, Enfies & Sie" is a peculiar story about the commercialization of one of human weaknesses. Through a different perspective, it traces the arrival of tobacco in our lands and its conflicting nature between a leading economic crop and a serious pest of humanity.
