Plovdiv Reads 2023, Siela Publishing House and Spirit & Spirit Literary Salon invite you to a conversation with Ivo Georgiev about his new novel "Din Day" on 23 May 2023 at 19:00 in the club Petnoto na Rorshach to talk about childhood, writing and travels in the world of books and beyond.

"Din Day is a novel about childhood, written in the lively and authentic language of childhood, that will remind adults what it's like to look at the world with curiosity.
Din Den lives with many other children in a large building far from the city. There the little ones play, learn, sing songs and do strange exercises.
And they believe that one day their mothers will take them home. Dig Den believes it too.
Life in the kindergarten is shown through his childish-wise and colorful language, through his understanding of the things that happen around him. Having accidentally discovered a hole through which he can eavesdrop on some of the conversations in the headmistress's office, he senses that something mysterious and incomprehensible is happening in their kindergarten without his realising it - a 'scientific excerpt'. And the only way to explain it to the other children and to himself is to make up stories and fairy tales.
And to hope they end with a happy ending.

"Din day" is related to "one day." When the protagonist was told stories, he was so impressed that when he wanted a new story, he would say "come again din day", explains the author.
