On 28 June at 19:00 at the Boris Hristov House of Culture opens the 20th International Francophone Song Festival "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2023. This is the largest musical, sung French forum of this format in the Balkans, with free admission, celebrating its 20th birthday.

The festival is the second most important and large-scale event in Europe after the one in Amsterdam and gives participants and volunteers the opportunity to meet new people, experience different cultures and all this through the prism of the French language, says the director of Alliance Française, Ms. Teofana Bradinska-Angelova. It is organized annually by Alliance Française in partnership with the Municipality of Plovdiv and is under the patronage of the Embassy of Rep. France and the French Institute for Bulgaria, with the largest Francophone television channel TV5Monde as an invariable partner.

The special guest of the Festival will be Mr. Pierre Colliot, Counsellor for Cultural Activities and Cooperation at the Embassy of France and Director of the French Institute for Bulgaria, who will welcome the audience and the participants. The Festival will be opened by the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Archaeology and Tourism Plamen Panov.

The spirit of the Festival this year will be "Remembering and discovering new talents". We will see and hear some of the first laureates of the international forum who now have their stellar careers, but we will also see rising musical stars coming from all over Bulgaria.

Special guest of the Festival is Antonia Markova - winner of the first edition of the Golden Key, multiple winner of awards from national and international competitions and the French talents "Jessandwest" - a duet that won all possible awards of the format "The Talents of France" in 2019 - jury, audience, for authors and composer, etc., in love with Plovdiv, and recently also winners of the TV format "The Voice of France".

The audience will be able to enjoy impressive and exciting performances by the talents of Iva Ichevska, Marina Spasova, Nelly Solakova and the inspiring Olga Vasilenko. The young discoveries this year are Victoria Mateeva, Yoni-Joana and Nicole Dimitrov, Mikhail Dobrev, Ioana Tasheva, Victoria Ilieva, Antonia Arnaudska, Raya Slaveykova, Kristina Encheva, who is only 11 years old, Beloslava Petrova, 14 years old and others, who will perform popular chansons, but with a specially made, very interesting contemporary arrangement.

On June 29 is the concert "The Talents of Art Voices Center" and part of the new special program of the French duet "Jessandwest". The performers will present interesting musical gifts and interpretations for this 20th Birthday. There will also be a series of pleasant surprises for the audience, prepared during the educational and creative workshop with the French duo, which will put everyone in the hall in a very good mood.

The start time of the concerts is 19:00. The entrance is free!
