The traditional Panorama of comedies "Curtain under the stars" in the Orpheus Summer Theatre will present to Plovdiv residents productions with audience favorites actors of leading theaters and production houses in the country. With four premieres for Plovdiv and five titles with premiere on an open stage participate the National Theatre, the Satire, the Army Theatre, the Drama Theatres of Ruse and Gabrovo, the theatre houses "Baza X", "Viva Arte" and others.

The start is on June 13th with the anniversary performance of Marius Kurkinski. The comedy trio of Daniel Peev, Boyko Krystanov and Yavor Baharov will blow the audience away with Jeeves and Wooster in Extremely Obscure on 18 June, as well as the most watched comedy of summer 2022 - Desperate Husbands two days before that. Mikhail Bilalov will walk us through a mob boss's memoir of the golden decade of Bulgaria's underworld in "BUM-BUM - The Evolution of Criminal Thinking" on June 16.  Yulian Vergov, Ivan Radoev and Monu Monev will share their experiences as Sofia bachelors with the fairer sex in "Coffee with a Claim" on 22 June.  The stars of the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" will cause a festive euphoria for the soul and the senses with the musical comedy "One Foolish Day" based on Beaumarchais' classic "The Marriage of Figaro" on 23 June.  Zachary Baharov and Theodora Dukhovnikova will have an endless but also endlessly funny argument about everything - money, politics, plastic surgery, social networks... in "Don't Say That" on 21 June, and fans of Zachary Baharov will be able to see him in the role of the driver Bae Slavi in "Chamkoria", for which he was awarded the Icarus Award for male role.
The Oscar-winning Ruslan Muynov is coming in September along with Alexandra Serchadzhieva and the Satiric Theatre troupe, while Maria Sapundzhieva will be seen on 28 August in "Jealousy" - the show for which she received a statuette and in which she partnered Assen Blatechky.  The two will also serve "Dinner for Friends" with Nencho Ilchev and Kristina Yaneva on 14 September.
The total hit of the Satirical Theatre "The Misunderstood Civilization" will meet Plovdiv residents with Albena Koleva, Kiril Efremov, Stefania Kocheva, Ivaylo Kaloyanchev and a bunch of other beloved actors in Nikolay Urumov's production based on Dobri Voynikov's work on September 15.
After the success of Teddy Moskov's comedy "Rare Dumbasses", the sequel "Even Rarer Dumbasses", which puts the characters of Maya Novoselskaya, Yavor Baharov, Robert Yanakiev and others to new tests, is also expected with interest.

The program also includes the stand-up comedy "Homeopathy for the Soul" with Dimitar Ivanov - The Captain on June 29 and the children's opera performance with puppets "The Fairy Tale Cinderella" on June 14.

Traditionally, Panorama of Comedies meets the audience and guest artists. The first meeting-conversation will be on the topic "How to create a comedy" with the actor Mikhail Bilalov and Vanya Nikolova - scriptwriter of the show "BUM-BUM", the films , "Undercover" , "The naked truth about the group Zhiguli" and the series "Relations", the notorious "Vina" and others. The meeting will be on June 16 at 8 pm in the cinema "Orpheus" just before the show.

Panorama of comedies "Curtain under the stars" is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of Plovdiv in 2023. For logistical reasons, some of the guest titles will be presented on accompanying stages - Summer Theatre "Bunardzhika" and House of Culture "Boris Hristov".
