The team of the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv invites you to the representative curatorial exhibition of the project "Photography Now - Plovdiv 2023" (from 08.06 to 06.07.2023) It will open at 18:00 on June 8 in Kapana Gallery.
23 well-known Plovdiv photographers of several generations, working in different fields of photographic art, will present their works:
Antonia Marinova, Assen Krastenov, Atanas Kanev, Georgi Vachev, Georgi Dimitrov, Ivan Paleikov, Ivilin Kurkchiyski, Mariana Dafova, Maria Djelebova, Metodiy Plachkov, Milan Hristev, Minko Mihailov, Mia Bozhilova, Nedyalko Kostov, Nikola Apostolov, Nikolay Minchev, Samuil Velichkov, Sonya Stankova, Stanimir Petkov, Tanya Varbeva, Tihomir Penov, Chavdar Naydenov, Yavor Berov.
Curator of the exhibition is Monika RomenskaWith them creative workshops have been organized under the mentorship of Ivelina Stoyanova - PhD student in Photography at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts "Prof. Assen Diamandiev".
The exhibition pays tribute to five important photographers who actively worked in Plovdiv and are no longer with us.
The project is the fourth of the three realized so far. They represent stages of the gallery's grand design to present to an audience of connoisseurs and specialists, as well as a younger audience, the types of visual arts and their significant artists that make the artistic spirit of Plovdiv unique.
"Photography Now - Plovdiv 2023" is realized with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city.
