On June 3 at 9.00 a.m. at the Rowing Base in Plovdiv will be held a charity run, the purpose of which is to raise funds for the purchase of specialized medical equipment for the obstetrics and gynecology department of "St. Mina Hospital-Plovdiv" Ltd.
The charity cause is under the title "Donate your time to 5kmrun" and is organized by the medical institution and the non-profit association "5kmrun". It will take place simultaneously in Plovdiv - Rowing Base, Sofia (South and West Park), in the Sea Gardens of Varna and Burgas.
The idea of the organizers is that each participant in the run will donate as much money as the time for which he finished the 5 km on that day. For example. For this purpose, appropriate urns will be provided at the places and also a special bank account will be opened by the organization "5kmrun", for those who do not have the opportunity to participate in this particular run, but would like to donate.
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of "St. Mina Hospital-Plovdiv" Ltd. "3 Vesela Street is the only large municipal maternity hospital in Plovdiv. Every year between 300-350 children are born there and over 900 patients visit the facility annually for specialized examinations. 
 The aim of the campaign is to support the efforts of the hospital in providing modern equipment, for which it is necessary to raise BGN 21 724 to purchase an operating table, an operating lamp, a perfuser and a patient monitor.
Over the past years of the charity runs, participants and friends of 5kmrun have donated over 100,000 BGN, which has been used to purchase life-saving medical equipment for children in Sofia, Varna and Burgas.
