With a big concert under the motto "A Tale of a Folk Choir" on 24 June 2023 at 19.00 at the Boris Hristov House of Culture will be celebrated the half-century anniversary of the Academic Folk Choir at the Art academy Asen Diamandiev - Plovdiv

Academic Folk Choir is the first student folk choir in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1972 by prof. Assen Diamandiev. The assistant conductor of the ensemble was Vasilka Imandieva (Yoncheva) and is the only winner of the title "World Champion", won in 2008 at the World Choir Championship in Graz. The awards of the choir are very numerous, won mainly from International competitions in China, Russia, Belgium, Switzerland, Serbia, etc.

The Academic Folk Choir at the Art academy Asen Diamandiev - Plovdiv invites Plovdiv residents and fans to an exciting "A Tale of a Folk Choir"! The concert is supported by the Plovdiv Municipality.
