You are invited to the presentation of the book "I still count the days" in Plovdiv by the winner of the European Prize for Literature (2021) and the Vaz Prize (2022) Georgi Berdarov.
The event will take place on 23 June at 18:30 at BEE BOP CAFE.

"I Still Count the Days" is a novel inspired by the heartbreaking love story of a Christian man and a Muslim woman, better known as the Bosnian Romeo and Juliet. The plot follows the last hours of their attempted escape during the Bosnian war and the blockade of Sarajevo. "I Still Count the Days is a brutal and harrowing account of the absurdity of ethno-religious conflict and the unhealing wounds of war.

The event is part of the project "Bridges of Words", funded by the National Culture Fund under the program for the reconstruction and development of private cultural organizations.
