The City Art Gallery - Plovdiv offers the audience an encounter with an almost unknown side of the work of the otherwise widely known Bulgarian artist Nikola Tanev. 
From July 4 to September 30, 2023, visitors to the large permanent exhibition at 14a Saborna St. will have the opportunity to see the exhibition "Nikola Tanev. Sketches of Pernik Coal Mines".
The selection of paintings was prepared and provided by the National Polytechnic Museum in Sofia, which in 1976 bought the works from the late artist's wife - Dimitriya (Misha) Taneva. 
The exhibition also includes two paintings from the collection of the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv.
