On July 20, 2023, at 17:00 in the lobby of Radio Plovdiv (2, Dondukov Street) will be opened an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews.
The exhibition is part of a project of Radio Plovdiv and is realized in partnership with the Ivan Vazov National Library.
The project includes reports and interviews united in the series "The Rescued and the Rescuers", the radio dramatization "The Wall of Rescue" and the exhibition of the Plovdiv National Library. It consists of 10 panels that trace the life of the Plovdiv Jewish community, the events surrounding the preparations for their deportation to the death camps and their rescue. There are panels dedicated to the rescuers and the rescued, and the final posters are related to the fate of the rescuers after the coup of 9 September 1944 and historical memory in our days.
There is also a QR code on each panel, which is a gateway to an information portal with more information about each of the events included in the exhibition.
