On July 25, the Regional Archaeological Museum - Plovdiv, together with the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, invite you to rediscover an interesting episode of ancient history. The exhibition "Power and Strength.
The Bronze Age (3200 - 1200 BC) marks a memorable moment in human history - the discovery of the bronze alloy. By combining copper with tin, the ancients unlocked possibilities for unheard-of advances and set a new direction for the development of their world. The new metal revolutionised the use of weapons and implements of labour, which became stronger and more reliable. This, in turn, led not only to the development of agriculture and warfare, but also to the emergence of complex societies with distinct elites. The trade routes needed to deliver copper and tin changed the face of the ancient world forever, connecting distant places and transporting goods, people and ideas.
The exhibition "Power and Strength" focuses on the end of the Bronze Age, when the dynamic changes that took place in the preceding centuries reached their climax. Through engaging narratives and captivating displays, the exhibition offers an informative experience for its visitors.
The exhibition opens on Tuesday, July 25 and will remain at the museum until November 18, 2023. Come and enjoy this unique glimpse into a bygone era where bronze alloy set a new direction of development for human civilization.
