At a time when Bulgaria is trying to shake off its shackles and prejudices and is raising its head to look outwards, towards Europe, naively absorbing the new glossy manners, fashion and manners, our nation is blinded by external glamour and pomp. Everything that comes from "bright Europe" is elevated into a cult! This is a fertile ground for charlatans and swindlers, who have arrived from the "civilized world", to deceive and deceive our eternally gullible population and take away what is most precious to them - their honor, dignity, children and money. Doesn't that sound familiar? Written by Dobri Voynikov 150 years ago, "Civilization Misunderstood" is so relevant that I would paraphrase it today as "Democracy Misunderstood."
