"Nashenets" - Mono-performance by Marius Kurkinski

It all started when I thought I was Don Juan (,,Don Giovanni" - 1993). Soon after, I performed the song of all songs (,,Song of Songs"- 1993) with much trepidation! I met a mysterious lady who helped me to step on the big stage and meet the many spectators (,,The Lady with the Puppy"- 1996). To this day, I still don't understand how I mustered the courage to step into the New Testament ("Gospel According to Matthew" - 1997). It helped me to find the man in myself ("The Man Himself" - 1999)! I dreamt that I woke up (,,The Dream" - 2001). I woke up and suffered a concussion (,,Concussion" - 2006)! From it I learned a lot, both about my ancestors and about the contemporary Bulgarian audience ("Bulgarian Stories" - 2010). Later I realized that I had imperceptibly turned into a funny man who was dreaming again (,,The Dream of the Funny Man" - 2014). I finally came to the truth! I'm just an artist locked in the theatre after the end of another performance and I can't get out into reality (,,Jubilee" - 2015). Then the black chicken landed on the stage and carried me again on the wings of the theatre (,,The Black Chicken" - 2016)! I acted, acted, acted and got to (,,Marius 50" - 2019). I will look for the reasons in ,,Nashenets"!
