The second edition of the "Gourmet under the hill" will take place on the Stoyan Chomakov square in the Old Town from 29 September to 1 October 2023.  

The format aims to encourage tourist flow to the city, promote local cuisine and rediscover alternative locations for events.

During the festival, Plovdiv residents and guests will be presented traditional Plovdiv delicacies and tasty dishes from the Plovdiv region of the Rhodope Mountains, interestingly prepared waffle hotdogs, chutneys, spices based on traditional Plovdiv recipes, etc. prepared on BBQ. Lovers of sweet temptations will enjoy original chocolates and amazing nut creams, as well as their enchanting combinations. Those wishing to refresh themselves will have at their disposal countless variants of coffees, lattes, amazing homemade lemonades and wine cocktails.

Opening night will be Friday, September 29 at 6:00 pm. Musicians from BIG Band will be there to keep guests in good spirits at 7:00 pm, and on Saturday / September 30 / we will be entertained again by the Solmate Trio at 7:00 pm.

This second edition will take as its theme one of the oldest processed foods of mankind, namely bread and baked goods. In addition to everything presented in the first edition, we will build on it with typical Plovdiv breads and baked goods, snacks and pastry delights. On Saturday at 12:00 there will be a demonstration on the kneading and baking of Plovdiv breads, which everyone will be able to taste.

The event "Gourmet under the hill" is part of the Annual Tourism Development Programme for 2023.
