Presentation of the novel "Howl"
The Regional Natural History Museum - Plovdiv and the publishing house "Erove" invite Plovdiv citizens and guests to the presentation of the debut novel "Howl" by the talented Alexander Skald. The event will take place on 4 October 2023 at 19:00 in the Planetarium Hall.
Alexander Petrov, who writes under the pseudonym Alexander Skald, is a PhD student in ecology and ecosystem conservation at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski". From his work at the Natural History Museum in Plovdiv as the curator of the Tropic Room with live tropical butterflies, he became known as "The Butterfly Lord". He has been a frequent guest on various television and radio programs, including "The Hour of Milen Tzvetkov", "The Evening of the Northwest" and the morning blocks of national television, and has written popular science articles for the magazine "8".
Alexander Petrov hosts an online educational show about Bulgarian nature "Quail Daily", in which unknown or "misunderstood" information about the wild inhabitants of Bulgaria is presented.
"Erov" is a small family publishing house founded by Todor and Atanaska Stanchev, ethnologists by vocation and profession, which started boldly with the translation of "Wild Harvest" in 2016. Its name comes from the common name of two of the most characteristic and specific letters in the Bulgarian alphabet - large and small er. It is so named because the books published under this sign are just that - with character and for a special audience. "Erove" gives a chance to both good fiction stories and strong documentary texts and loves to work with Bulgarian authors.
