From October 5 to 8, 2023, Plovdiv will once again host the now traditional international tournament for children, teenagers and girls, men and women PLOVDIV CUP AEROBICS OPEN.

The competition is organized by the "Aerobics - AMD" club, Plovdiv, with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and the Bulgarian Aerobics Union, chaired by Dimitrina Kandeva.

This year's edition is the fourteenth and is included in the calendar of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). It will be held in the Plovdiv International Fair. More than 500 participants from 20 countries applied for participation in it, namely: Austria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Germany, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Finland, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. We expect to see on the competition podium some of the elite of the world sports aerobics, in the face of a number of competitors who won medals from world and European championships, held in June in Portugal for both men and women, as well as for juniors and girls.

The delegate of the competition from the International Gymnastics Federation will be Cristina Casentini (Italy) - Vice-President of the Technical Commission for Sports Aerobics at the World Gymnastics Federation.

Due to the large number of participants, the qualifications will start already on October 6, Friday, the official opening of the competition will be on October 7 - Saturday.

The best 8 combinations in each age group and category from the two qualifying days will compete for the medal distribution at the Finals, which will be held on Sunday 08 October.
