The first of its kind Mental Arithmetic Olympiad "The Little Awakeners of Bulgaria" will be held in Plovdiv on 18 and 19 November.  The event will be hosted by Hotel SPS and organized by Avigeya Educational Center in Plovdiv, Smartykids Children's Educational Centers Plovdiv-North and Smartykids Varna-Levski.

The Mental Arithmetic Olympiad "The Little Awakeners of Bulgaria" is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov. Deputy Mayor for Culture, Archaeology and Tourism Plamen Panov will be a guest at the award ceremony.

This exciting event will bring together more than 240 children aged 5 to 10 from all over the country who will measure their wits and mathematical talent with their peers.

The competitive part of the Olympiad will take place on Saturday 18.11.2023. In three rounds in just 5 minutes, the children will have to speed-calculate as many problems as they can with and without abacus /scrambler/, with a maximum of 250 examples.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 19.11.2023 at 10.00. Then we will find out who are the champions and medalists in Mental Arithmetic - the children who solved the most problems correctly.
