Literary meetings in the Library: Canterbury Tales
The translator Prof. Shurbanov and "Canterbury Tales" will be visiting the Plovdiv Library
The meeting will feature renaissance music performed on the lute
On February 8 - Thursday, from 6:00 p.m., Ivan Vazov Public Library and East-West Publishing House will present the "Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer, translated by Alexander Shurbanov. This is the fifth edition of the book with an improved translation by Prof. Shurbanov.
Dr. Veronika Kelbecheva, Prof. Kleo Protohristova, the publisher Lyuben Kozarev and the translator Prof. Alexander Shurbanov will participate in the meeting.
The event is the first of the new project of the National Library "Ivan Vazov" - "Literary meetings in the library", designed as a cycle of events dedicated to significant publishing projects implemented in the book market, discussion meetings with authors, publishers, translators and illustrators.
It will take place in the Art lobby of the library, where renaissance music will be played by Yavor Genov, lute.
