12 poets from 9 countries participate in the International Poetry Festival "ORPHEUS" - Plovdiv 2024

12 poets from 9 countries are participating in this year's Seventh Edition of the International Poetry Festival "ORPHEUS" - Plovdiv 2024.

This year's selection is Darija Zhilich (Croatia), Ivanka Radmanovic (Serbia), Özcan Ünlü (Turkey), Kadriye Cesur (Turkey), Mirela Ivanova (Bulgaria), Nikolina Andova (North Macedonia), Olimbi Velaj (Albania), Petar Kraevski (Bulgaria), Radka Rubilina (Czech Republic), Sonja Zubović (Croatia), Francisco Morales Lomas (Spain), Juraj Kuniak (Slovakia) .

The first book - Poetry, with the works of the participants in the festival - is currently being prepared.

The event opens on May 9 – Europe Day, at 6 p.m., in the Small Early Christian Basilica of Plovdiv with an introduction of the guests and a poetry reading (with a translation into Bulgarian).

On May 10, at 5 p.m., the traditional Writers' Forum will be held again in the Small Basilica between the participants and students, students and writers from Plovdiv.

From 6:00 p.m. on May 10 is the award ceremony - with a closing poetry reading.

The project is part of the Cultural Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv for 2024.
