For Eng. Lubozar Fratev

At its last session on February 15, 2024, the Plovdiv Municipal Council unanimously awarded the "Honorary Citizen of the City of Plovdiv" award to Eng. Lyubozar Fratev for outstanding contribution to the social and cultural life of the city of Plovdiv, care for its citizens and on the occasion of its 80th anniversary.

Eng. Fratev is the chairman of the board of the Council for Tourism - Plovdiv, founder and chairman of the board of the Thracian Tourist Region, chairman of the Council of donors of the Balkan Cultural Forum foundation, chairman of the board of the House for Plovdiv Opera Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOVIZ AD. Lubozar Fratev is actively involved in the activities of a number of public, civic and business organizations.

Eng. Fratev is among the founders and active members of the project "People's Awakeners and I", which is implemented under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. As of October 2023, he has been elected chairman of the Municipal Committee "Vasil Levski" Plovdiv. In the period 2007 - 2011, engineer Lubozar Fratev was an active municipal councilor in the Municipal Council - Plovdiv. In February 2014, at a session of the Plovdiv Municipal Council, he was unanimously awarded the "Badge of Honor of the City of Plovdiv".
