"Balletto di Milano" presents one of its most successful performances in the world.
The ballet is rich in fascinating choreography: from the passionate duets and numerous lively ensemble dances of gitanis, soldiers and tobacco workers, created to the wonderful music of Georges Bizet, taken not only from the opera of the same name, but also from two suites and Arlésienne n° 2. Musical notes , which emphasize history and the atmosphere of energy and passion that we also find in the production, where tradition and modernity coexist.
In Balletto di Milano`s Carmen, Fate plays a decisive role, guiding the story and gradually revealing itself through various symbols: love, betrayal, death.
The ballet is also based on the exceptional skill and interpretation of all the dancers from the Milan company, one of the most important in Italy, present on the international stage.
Ambassador of Italian dance throughout the world, "Balletto di Milano" under the direction of docent Carlo Pesta, is one of the most prestigious Italian troupes. The ballet company is recognized and supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan. The Ballet of Milan performs its activities in the major Italian theaters and abroad, where it is present in major theaters and institutions. The Milan Ballet has its base residence at the Teatro Lirico Milano and has a team made up of dancers graduated from the best international academies and a wide exclusive repertoire ranging from many classical titles, revisited to exclusive productions.
