"Due to meteorological and technical reasons, the concert - performance "Chaplin pianissimo" on June 12 in the city of Plovdiv has been moved from the Ancient Theater to the Drama Theater "N.Y. Masalitinov". Start at 21:00.

Charlie Chaplin's son Eugene presents Chaplin Pianissimo at the Ancient Theater in June

The performance with the music of Charlie Chaplin visits Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna

"Chaplin pianissimo" is a concert-performance dedicated to the life and work of the great Charlie Chaplin, which is performed for the first time in Bulgaria. The public will see it in Sofia on June 10 in the "Bulgaria" hall, on June 12 in Plovdiv, Ancient Theater and on June 15 in Varna at FC, within the framework of the International Theater Festival "Varna Summer".

The performance is in the form of a transcribed suite, presenting Chaplin's life, with two grand pianos, multimedia and special sets. It features music from movies like Modern Times, The Great Dictator, The Kid, Gold Rush and Ramp Lights.

The fifth child of the great artist Eugene Chaplin arrives in Bulgaria together with the world-famous composer Jean-Pascal Beintus and the pianist from the National Higher Conservatory "de Musique de Paris" Sylvain Maurice. The three will tell the story of Chaplin's life and work through his music. Eugene Chaplin will lead the audience on the path of his great father and will recall personal memories and anecdotes related to cinematography his legacy.

The multimedia musical spectacle "Chaplin Pianissimo" has been shown with great success all over the world. The makers of the show want to present the great comedian's outstanding film and music legacy in an attractive way. Already at the beginning of his journey in the silent cinema, Charlie Chaplin was tempted to create musical themes that gave rhythm to the scenes in the films with his participation. Gradually, he created entire musical scores that were an important part of the impact of his films.

"My father was in complete control of the process of creating a film - from the script, through the casting to the music that sounds," says Eugene Chaplin, who remained connected to the music business for years.

"Chaplin Pianissimo" will visit Plovdiv on June 12, 2024. on the ancient stage of the Ancient Theater, the start is at 21.00.

Tickets are from BGN 50 to BGN 150 and are sold throughout the Eventim and Grabo network .
