"GUN IN TORNADO"
One-man show with the participation of Vesela Babinova

The popular one-man play "Gun in Tornado" (original title: Natural Shocks) is now also on the Bulgarian theater stage. The role of the main character, Angela, is played by Vesela Babinova, and the plot, closely related to Hamlet's monologue "To be or not to be" from Shakespeare's play of the same name, will unfold in front of the audience. The story will meet us with a woman from a small town. As she hides in her basement waiting for a tornado to hit her, she streams what's happening live on social media. The author of the play is Lauren Gunderson - one of the most produced playwrights in the USA since 2015, she topped the list three times, including for the 2022/2023 season.

"This is a play in which I play Angela - a very curious character. At first reading you say: "Aha, sure", but then you realize that this is a time when the first impression lies. She seems like a woman I would be close to, but the catch is that with her you can never be sure if she really means what she says. Isn't everything really simple: "Words, words, words," says Vesela Babinova about her role.

Faced with mortal danger, barricaded in the basement and hiding from the tornado raging above, Angela uses the last thing she has left - her sense of humor. Although she is an insurance agent herself, nothing in her life is quite in order. She tries not to lie, but she does it all the time. How did everything suddenly go wrong? A tornado can turn your whole life upside down.

The director is Vasil Duev – Taig, the scenography and costumes were created by Elis Veli, and the music is by Antoni Rykev.

This will be the second production of the production duo "BREAK A LEG" Luiza Grigorova - Makariev and Alexander Sano, after the premiere "CLEAR", which debuted in the middle of July this year and has already been watched by over 5,000 people.

Vesela Babinova is the winner of the ASKEER Award for Rising Star and the IKAR Award for Supporting Actress. She is also known from the television screen with her role in "DO NOT WARRY ABOUT ME" and "FATHER'S DAY".
