Kaloyan Kumanov presents his latest project "Folklore Ballads" in the Union Hall

The concert is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and admission is free

"Folklore Ballads", the latest project of accordionist Kaloyan Kumanov, will have its Plovdiv premiere on April 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the "Union" hall of the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv. The event is realized with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv.

In this concert, works from Bulgarian folklore will be performed, both authentic and modern author's pieces. The creator of the project says that he did it with the clear idea of presenting and presenting this wonderful music - our folklore with an elegant, mystical and balladic sound.

The audience will hear "Folklore Ballads" performed by Kaloyan Kumanov - accordion, Nadia Kazakova - vocals, Vladimir Vladimirov - guitar and Julian Yanev - piano .

Kaloyan Kumanov, one of the most attractive and successful accordionists in our country, became an undeniable musical sensation at the beginning of this year, when the news came that for the first time a Bulgarian became part of the world-famous Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra, whose music is mainly based on the folklore of the countries of the Balkan Peninsula. Kaloyan Kumanov took part in the group's European tour, which was an incredible success in packed halls in front of an excited audience.

For the upcoming premiere of "Folk Ballads" in Plovdiv, Kaloyan said that in order for this concert to be so beautiful, it must be performed by good musicians, and these are:

Julian Yanev is one of the most prominent pianists in Bulgarian music, he was part of major music formats, such as "The Voice of Bulgaria", a long-time musician, composer and arranger of some of the most famous pop and jazz artists in Bulgaria.

Nadia Kazakova is among the most famous performers of folk music with an impressive musical career. Soloist of the National Folklore Ansemble "Filip Kutev", then he is part of the five-piece "5 Stars", currently he has a remarkable musical solo career, he is also a soloist in the ensemble of the "Armed Forces" - Sofia.

Prof. Vladimir Vladimirov - our prominent tambourist and pedagogue, teacher at AMTII "Prof. Asen Diamandiev " - Plovdiv" and conductor of the "Academic People's Orchestra".

And the art decor on the stage of this concert will also be original and beautiful with paintings by the artist Yavor Kumanov.
