An anniversary retrospective exhibition "Inspirations by chance" will be opened on April 29 at 6:00 p.m. in House of Culture “Boris Christoff”, lobby, floor 2. It will mark two important anniversaries - 100 years since the birth of the artist Kosta Pavlov and 70 years of his son - the artist Todor Pavlov. The exhibition and the authors will be presented by Vihra Grigorova. The opening will be led by a musical program accompanied by piano player Irene Kapelovska.

Born on May 12, 1924, in the village of Gaitaninovo, Kosta Pavlov's creative journey has always been intertwined with Plovdiv. Despite facing challenges during his school and youth years, marked by hard work and a deep passion for music and painting, Plovdiv remained a constant presence in his life. His affection for the native Pirin region, coupled with his knowledge of nature, Bulgarian traditions, and historical themes, is vividly portrayed in his artwork. Pavlov's paintings, characterized by their poetic and folkloric essence, reflect the professional maturity of an original Plovdiv artist. He actively participates in exhibitions organized by the Plovdiv group of artists, showcasing works that resonate with every Bulgarian.

Born on July 7, 1953 in Sofia, Todor Pavlov spent his early years in Plovdiv after his family relocated there in 1955. From 1961 to 1968, he improved his painting skills at the Pioneer House under the guidance of Plovdiv artist Ivan Popovski. In May 1968, he showcased his first solo children's exhibition at the "Stefan Kiradzhiev" Trade Union House of Culture, now known as House of Culture "Boris Christoff". Following this, he pursued education at the Art High School in Kazanlak from 1970 to 1973. In 1980, Pavlov moved with his family to Leipzig, where he attended drawing courses at the Academy of Arts and studied under Prof. Werner Tübke. Since 1989, he has resided in Neuhausen near Stuttgart, where he continues to pursue his artistic endeavors. Todor Pavlov has held solo exhibitions in Germany, France, Austria, and Bulgaria.

Entrance to the exhibition is free and can be visited until May 22!
