The collection "Baba" gathers 16 short stories by popular personalities, which will be presented on April 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Club ''Petnoto na Rorschach''. Kremena Dimitrova, Vladislav Hristov and Ina Ivanova will be featured during the event.

In the book you will find the stories of Angel Ivanov, Yordanka Beleva, Vladislav Hristov, Justin Toms, Vasil Hristov, Kremena Dimitrova, Ina Ivanova, Dimitar Stefanov, Yana Moneva, Momchil Nikolov, Rusi Chanev, Ivan Totev, Iva Koleva, Boyan Boev, Anastasia Sabeva and Silvia Nedkova, dedicated to the different grandmothers that mark our lives.

Kremena Dimitrova serves as the compiler and driving force behind this collection. Reflecting on her inspiration, she recounts a summer by the sea where her craving for books intensified. Despite being in places devoid of bookstores, she stumbled upon a beach library—a refuge offering both mundane and exceptional reads, like Kafka's letters. This experience sparked the idea for a book accessible to both literary enthusiasts and casual beachgoers. Initially hesitant due to the abundance of similar projects, Dimitrova's epiphany came naturally. Drawing from her own longing for grandmotherly wisdom, she conceived the notion of crafting a collective grandmother figure from the narratives of fifteen exceptionally gifted authors. This revelation struck her during her time in Balchik, at the Palace.

The activity is included in the spring schedule of Plovdiv Chete 2024, the Spirt & Spirit Literary Salon, and is integrated into Plovdiv's cultural agenda. The Plovdiv Reads 2024 literary festival is made possible with the support of Plovdiv Municipality.
